King in the North by Vizen King in the North by Vizen
FINALLY here they are, my favourite Gryffindors Starks :)

Ref : +/- HBO and GRRM
Texture : texture 11

-Note1: So, if you ask me: my fav characters are Oberyn, Jaime and Clegane (Sandor). Jon Snow is great, the actor slightly too old; and Sansa was so stupid during 5 seasons, that now she became interesting. And all my hopes rely on her to put down that ### Littlefinger. And I approve the new Girl power order.

-Note2: Well, and Theon and Tyrion.

What I love about this is that it reminds me of the painted illustrations and book cover art from the late 60's/early 70's, sort of rough but the expressions are unmistakable, and there's plenty of atmosphere and texture.

Only a part of them: a Game of thrones and a part of Clash of kings. I didn't like the beginning, it went better afterwards but I preferred the TV show. I should read more of it, though.

Book 3 is by far the rest. The rest are... a bit too much wine, food and more characters, so well, if you have time read that one. I hated the last book. The show was good last season, but in the books I like Littlefinger :P I use to like Jon and Sansa, up to a point, then I prefered Samwell and also Jaime, even Theon. I don´t know if I like Dany, I do like Sir Joran and of course, Tyrion, but also in the books. I like Euron (he is not in the show) and also Griff (not in the show)... oh, Bran is cool in the books... at least his visions are. The Viper was the best... damn GRRM! Oh I LOVE the L + R =JS I wonder if JS and DT (Danenarys) will eventually meet... of course, but well. I like The Lady of Thorns... but not Margary and Loras (RIP)... anyway, I read the books some years ago, so gladly I forgot most of them...

I rarely say that, but for once I preferred the adaptation to the books. I was not happy with the writing style and thought it is actually all made for screen...Maybe because I started with the tv show. I've been watching it from the start. And YES Oberyn, he was soooo great. Now I am all for Jaime and Sandor.  We'll see ... ( I don't like Jorah at all :( )

I have to agree with you. The books where so badly written (IMHO) very hard to read, and all the characters, overwhelming. The names, omg, so similar and confusing. I just read the books because from here recommended them for me. She said she love the writing style and the psychology of each character (POV). While I agree, the style was awful. Oberyn was amazing. That actor was pure gold, incredibly silky and just good! Oh I forgot about Sandor, I like him too... and Jaime. But I don´t know if either will survive. Jaime seems to be important to the story and Tyrion was, but GRRM gave him greyscale, not Jorah. I think Jaime might end up with Brienne (hopes)... I love that pair. And I used to like Sandor and Sansa but it seems it might be Theon and Sansa now... or Sansa and Littlefinger? I can´t stand the little psychopath Arya, but her list sounds like a good thing to practice to some psychologists... Miss Oberyn and hopes for Jaime!

I think that Jaime and Cersei will die together. Maybe, he will kill her. Brienne could be with Sandor, in fanon XD. Arya has serious issues, she cannot live forever that way! ...and I was totally in love with Oberyn - the actor    as good as the character....

Stunning.

Have you watched GoT?

Thank you, I am really glad you like it. I try to expand my horizons and style...

Pets still needs some reworking and at the moment I have at least two drawings in project. Pets is for later :(

So, the one standing is Jon Snow and the girl sitting is Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones/ a Song of Ice and Fire. However, they don't look much like the actors.
They are relatives. In the story (i.e. 73 hours on TV, 60 hours behind us and we wait for season 7), the Starks are the kings in the North, the biggest land of the seven kingdoms, that are ruled by a supra-King on a huge iron throne. The question is who deserves the iron throne (or at least can sit on it without dying too soon). There are magics and many Slytherins, Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws everywhere, but it is not Hogwarts at all :)

Ah. Isn't that the book(s)/tv show where everyone is always dying in horrible ways?

It is. It has a strange effect on people, I confess. It is violent, however still more acceptable than violence in reality, maybe because it looks medieval and not possible. The fans get very attached to the characters and the story, and then death surprises them - the principal hero dies when the whole plot seemed to rely on him, ... However, it still makes sense, and now after 6 seasons it starts to be less unfair and more about letting justice and morality win in the end. I would say that the main point in this show is that it contradicts what we usually expect from a standard storyline.

Great character, a typical Slytherin. That's the way the actor speaks - irritates me terribly. And Sansa, really, was sooo blind. However, it is either Sansa, or Varys, to defeat him. I don't know.

Or he will win and defeat them. Xd

The biggest factor in what goes down in the north will be whether those two can work together effectively

That and I would recommend arranging an accident for Littlefinger ASAP they've already got the Knights of the Vale and I'm sure Sansa can pull Robin's strings just fine, that man is simply too dangerous to let live.  But like I said I think the biggest factor will be how well Sansa and Jon can work together

I bet that Littlefinger is going to live and die only in the latest episodes, maybe just after or before he sits on the iron throne XD And I am not very optimistic when it comes to Robyn's chances to live old...

All of the major houses have serious issues in my view:
House Arynn, reduced to one sickly little boy who will probably die before he can procreate
House Martell, the name has been extinguished with the only blood descendants being Oberyn's bastard daughters, three of whom will likely die due to their poor impulse control.
House Tyrell, the blood line has been extinguished and the name will follow suite once Olenna dies.
House Baratheon, the name has been extinguished and the blood line only lives on through Robert's remaining bastards and it's not clear how many are still alive let alone if they even know who their father was.
House Lannister, has been reduced to Tywin's children, Cersei is likely too old to have children by this point and it's highly questionable whether Jamie or Tyrion will ever have children.
House Tully, reduced to Edmure and his son who are both captives and Catleyn's children who all identify more as Starks
House Greyjoy, caught between Euron and Yara and it would not surprise me if the name if not the blood line died with them
House Targaryen, only two living members that we know of, one does not even know of his heritage and it is unclear if the other can even have a human child (which is only one of 7 issues I can think of that could spell disaster for Dany and her supporters in either the short or the long term)
House Stark, while in better shape than the above the name will fade unless Jon is allowed to take up the Stark name, Brann is able and in fact does manage to father a child, or Sansa and Arya are allowed to have children with the Stark name the family name will die.  There's also the issue as to whether Jon and Sansa can work together and of course the fact Littlefinger is there

You're right. Honestly, I'd be surprised if Dany simply sits on the throne and here is the end, especially because she has been so sure of her rights since the beginning. And we "need" that expected connection between Jon Snow and her / the white walkers and the dragons at some points; and it doesn't mean that the iron throne and the seven kingdoms will survive. Certainly, a new form of (democratic?) government will emerge at the end.

Also, my basic theory is that the Houses are making their mottos true. Like "we do not sow" - the Greyjoys won't have children. "Fire and blood" is explicit enough etc. At that point, we can have hopes for Lady Mormont ("Here we stand" sounds reliable enough), but the big Houses are indeed compromised...Next step, the Lannisters are doomed, now that Cersei is the queen. I only hope that they can long for many episodes...
