It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

... for the notes and messages for my birthday

So lately I had no time for dA...We celebrated my son's 10t birthday (on the Eiffel Tower. Don't go to eat there - very expensive and not worth it) and I had to endure the extended family for weeks at home. Plus, some computer issues, the new job and different holidays. As a result, I'm so happy the In-laws were finally gone for my own birthday

Never mind.

Today we are voting for our next President. I still don't know if I am going to vote, personally... That's the problem with elections lately - that total lack of trust in politicians, you see. When you think I am graduated in politics and economics...Imagine the general state of mind. Not good, not good... *sigh*

I hope you're all doing well and still enjoy dA and the fandom.
