With her permission - this is a collaboration with HapticMimesis, great artist in our fandom : I won't say enough how much I appreciated this opportunity to draw Severus Snape with her.
This work was finished three years ago.
Edit : Happy Birthday, Headmaster Snape. I am so surprised and, more importantly, honoured with this Daily Deviation, especially today. Merci, so much to TheCreativeJenn for this feature and to all of you on dA and in our fandom. And of course thank you for HapticMimesis, who worked so well on this collaboration.
Sometimes it can seem vain to celebrate a fictional character. And it would be in a way... However, I remember dark times and these negative thoughts that have made me understand how much symbols, literature, art and dreams can help us through life. Severus Snape is one of these symbols to me and to his fans, in his constant courage and his search for light through the dark. I own him a lot, and will never underestimate the strength of his magic - the beautiful hope he symbolizes.
