This is what happens when I suddenly see the calendar ...

Dear friends, life has been complicated for me this last year. Things are getting better and only my health remains quite weak (or more precisely, my sad moods)

Which explains why I don’t draw much, what with the lack of strength (and self-confidence)

It will be all over, hopefully, within the new months. I wish you the best, love and inspiration in 2018. 

And, no matter what, happy birthday to Sev ! May he live forever for us.













 

Happy 2017 and Snape's birthday to everyone, with all my best wishes for the future. 

2016 was mostly awful to me as well, therefore it should get better, and I crave for new hopes and happier times.

Hopefully, with a few new drawings, who knows - if my inspiration and self-confidence come back. No matter what else happened, 2016 was good for the HP fans, especially with the Fantastic Beasts. And I am happy to be still around, even if not so active, and staying for people I deeply appreciate - Gryffgirl , arcanetrivia, esperanza111 , kasmunaut, acatnamedeaster, ... , and all of you, every HP fan, artist and  person I could meet here on this site.

Okay, so I watched it. And I love it. 

and you? 

(No spoilers here)

- the characters are very touching, Newt included (Hufflepuff pride). I fell in love with the No-Maj, he is excellent. The two sisters are well-thought characters and I love the actresses. I am especially happy with the actors not looking like standard empty top models. Was particularly interested in Credence for obvious reasons, I wish he could have more character development. I hope there will be more...

- mission accomplished with the fantastic beasts, but then the 2D does not do justice to this film and I need to re-watch it in 3D. Special love for the Niffler.

- NYC and the whole historical context may be slightly under-exploited (?), which is not entirely a problem, since the focus remains onto the magical world (btw, interesting that the American magical world seems to be all about death sentences, procedures and regulations)

- we can find some clichés at some points but overall the scenario is more subtle than I expected, and let me say it... I recognize JKR here, much more than in Cursed Child part 2. However, we have here the part One of a prequel, therefore only sets up of things to come, and the few new "plots to come" and details are intriguing, yet not developed enough at this stage.

- and ... yes yes yes yes for more Grindelwald and Dumbledore to come...I have been craving for it for years. (Not happy with the J. Depp cast, though )
